Well, my baby girl turned two a week ago, and I being the bad blog updater that I am haven't posted any pictures yet. She was showered with gifts from her grandparents and other people who love her and I must say she will be well-dressed this summer and have plenty of toys to play with! Our big gift to her was an inflatable jumper which is currently stationed right smack in the middle of our living room. Other than that, it's fabouloso. She loves running around, jumping and playing in there. We'll have to deflate it soon so and bring it out every couple of months so that the novelty doesn't wear out. Oh, and so that we can have our living room back. I love my little 2-year-old. She's in her crib right now yelling, "Mommy? Is anybody here? Hello?" That's her new thing- yelling from her room, "Is anybody here?" Like we're in the habit of leaving her alone?!??! She is such a joyful, funny, articulate, girl. She is constantly saying things that just crack us up. I can't imagine life without her. It is so hard to believe that she's already 2!!
We've been staying pretty busy with our normal routine and trying to keep up on everything. It's hard when I constantly feel sick and tired. Darn pregnancy hormones! It's finally gotten hot enough that Taylor can spend some more of our free time playing outside. She loves her little inflatable pool but I have to be extra vigilant when she's playing out there, not only for the obvious reasons, but because she has discovered that she likes to be naked. Yes, I have the little exhibitionist on my hands. She quite enjoys skinny dipping in her pool I guess.
Taylor has been having a wonderful summer at daycare. Stacey takes the kids swimming every week for hours on end, takes them to the park, to the zoo, to the movies, and to numerous other fun places. Taylor loves her days there and loves her friends and Stacey and her family. I am so grateful to have such excellent care for Taylor while Joel and I are at work. Payton (Stacey's daughter) has fun doing the girls' hair. Taylor comes home with the best hair styles! Look at these braids! I wish I could take credit but I can't!
Another one of Taylor's favorite past times is coloring. She LOVES to color and it's been a life saver for us at church! She actually sits and colors and plays the entire sacrament meeting. It's nothing short of a miracle- and the people who are in our church congregation can attest to this! Last night she discovered her washable markers... and no, these don't make an appearance anywhere but at home when she can hop straight in the tub afterwards for obvious reasons!
Taylor is calling me again so I guess that's all for now! :)
