My funny girl

In my opinion, one of the very best things about being a parent is when your child gets old enough to say funny things that make you laugh. Not only has this girl come into our lives and stolen our hearts but she has also become the resident comedian... I know hard to believe with her dad in the house! Here are some of the funny things I can remember from the past few days and weeks:

- She was climbing up the couch this afternoon and I could hear her whispering to herself to "be careful Taylor!" She often tells Joel to "Be careful daddy!" when he's driving. Hmm.... I wonder where she gets that from- nag much Annie?

- A few weeks ago at daycare Stacey's daughter mentioned that Taylor's hair is getting long and Stacey said, "Yeah she kind of has a mullet!" Taylor heard their conversation, lifted up her shirt, pointed to her belly mole and declared, "My mullet!" I think she thought they were asking her where her mole was at.

- Last night we were in the car and I missed a turn and I said, "Oh crap!" and Taylor immediately piped up from the back, "Mommy said 'crap!'" Not that she knows it's a bad word or anything, she just repeats EVERYTHING. Whoops.

- This afternoon she grabbed a tube of BenGay off of the table in the office and brought it to me and said, "Here mommy. Daddy's toothpaste!"

-After the inauguration I said, "Taylor we have a new president! Can you say Obama?" and she looked at me and excitedly said, "Oh Momma!" and then looked at Joel and said, "Oh Daddy!"

- We were getting ready to leave for the store on Friday and Scratchy was tearing around the house and being really wild. I warned Taylor that he was being wild and to watch out because I didn't want him to scratch her. As we were leaving she shouted, "Bye bye Scratchy, you wild beast!"

- Saturday morning she woke up and was playing in her crib when I heard her yelling, "I poopy!" so I went into her room to change her and as I was changing her diaper she said, "Say 'yucky' mommy!"

- She constantly wants to get naked. I really hope she outgrows this one.... as soon as she gets undressed she runs around yelling, "I nakee! I nakee!" Hmm. Not sure what to do about this one yet.

Anyway, here are some pictures from this weekend.

Friday night she wanted to put her hat and mittens on before bed. She thought it was funny until I decided to take pictures. She didn't like that for some reason but I still took a couple photos. Mean mom.

Here she is in her glorious (mostly) naked state on Saturday morning playing the piano with her wild static hair. Silly girl!

And here she is after church today giving Scratchy some love. He is such a tolerant cat!
